Lumai expands team with appointment of System Architect, Senior Optical Engineer and Office Manager

The Lumai team is growing rapidly, and this month we’re pleased to introduce three new talented individuals to the team. We know that their expertise and experiences will be invaluable as we continue to develop our technology to deliver the world’s fastest and most energy efficient AI datacentre accelerator. 

Howard Winter

Howard joins as System Architect, focusing on the digital system design of Lumai’s AI processor. With over two decades of experience in designing and implementing leading-edge digital architectures, Howard brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. 

His experience in designing high-performance systems and datacentre products will be invaluable. Prior to joining Lumai, Howard was a Lead Systems Engineer at Meta, where he led technical development and system architecture for a range of Meta projects. Prior to Meta, Howard was at Seagate and Maxeler Technologies where he worked on high-performance compute products for datacentres.

Ivan Evans

Ivan joins Lumai as Senior Optical engineer. He has extensive experience in commercialising innovative optical technologies across a number of successful startup and more established companies. His background in designing products for volume manufacture as well as industrial R&D further enhances the Lumai optical team. Prior to Lumai, Ivan was Principal Optical engineer at Huber+Suhner Roadmap Systems, Senior Engineer at Mindportal and Lead Engineer at Keit Spectrometers.

Victoria Shore

With previous experience at Idea Atlas, Victoria has joined Lumai as our new Office Manager. With her organisational skills, Victoria will play a crucial role in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Victoria has a lot of experience in recruitment and helping companies grow teams, so she will be instrumental in helping ensure that we continue to attract amazing people to the Lumai team.
